Set-top box acceptance testing

Nagravision offers individual and comprehensive test services for set-top box including functional, stability, reliability and performance testing. The company customises its test services based on a client's system configuration. The reliability of the test results provides an accurate status report prior to the deployment of new devices or new releases in the market.

Interoperability testing

The network signal is subject to modification over the course of time, such as when new playout equipment is introduced, PSI/SI signalling is modified or CAS configurations are updated. Nagravision tests the robustness of the deployed set-top boxes against such changes. This gives operators the assurance that their devices will continue to work as expected.

Automated testing

The Automated Test Facility (ATF) is an automated set-top box test solution. The ATF can simultaneously test up to sixteen identical or different models, control the test signal, power the device on and off, simulate the remote control which would be used by the subscriber, and analyse video and audio output signals.

Nagravision develops the test scripts and operates the ATF. Its test management software can be controlled remotely via the Internet. This offers the flexibility to perform automated testing under conditions identical to a subscriber environment.
