NAGRA Media SDP, a Nagravision's IPTV Service Delivery Platform (QSP) is based on a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) by means of which principle by which core services are defined and implemented, including Authentication, Subscriber and Policy Management, and Provisioning. these core services can then be accessed by application services such as Broadcast, PPV, DVR, VOD/SVOD, Messaging and others. This architecture allows very straightforward integration of such a specialist IPTV SDP within an IMS/NGN umbrella architecture since the Quative SDP core services can be accessed and managed by external components.
QSP is delivered in combination with the NAGRA Media CMS, and integrated with Nagravision Content Security, as well as with other CAS providers. QSP and the CMS come pre-integrated with leading video servers and broadcast headends, as well as STB vendors.
STB vendors can be supported through a range of different STB middleware solutions, such as OpenTV Core2, and MHP/Java based solutions, as well as the STB vendor's own embedded middleware solutions to support Quative STB APIs integrated with application run time environments based on SVG/HTML browsers.
QSP is unique in adhering to an industry-proven Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), allowing operators not only to customize client-side applications but also to adapt the back end system business logic flexibility.QSP is not tied to any specific client run-time environment, and hence seamlessly supports leading embedded SVG/HMTL browsers alongside Java/MHP and OpenTV virtual machines. This has the huge advantage of allowing operators not only to define their own differentiating service ergonomics, but also to implement and evolve them in a client technology environment of their own choice across a range of devices including STBs, PCs and mobile devices.
Quative is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kudelski Group and part of its Digital TV Division. Quative focuses on telecom and internet service providers launching new TV services or migrating to a next-generation TV solutions. Quative also offers solutions for hybrid cable and satellite/terrestrial Pay- TV providers deploying IPTV to enrich the existing broadcast services seamlessly.
